Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing Clare Marples Hypnotherapy. I am a Solutions Focused Hypnotherapist using elements of hypnotherapy, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) within my practice. Solutions Focused Hypnotherapy focuses on your preferred future rather than dwelling on your past. My role as hypnotherapist is to guide you in identifying small, achievable changes that you want to make to help you achieve your preferred future.
Professional Practice
My qualifications and how I am regulated:
I hold the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) and the Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH)
My business is a member of, and regulated by, the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH)
I must adhere to their strict codes of conduct and ethics, including having a recognised qualification, appropriate insurance, regular Continual Professional Development training (CPD), and monthly supervision with a regulated and qualified supervisor.
Commitments
My commitment to you:
All clients will receive an in-depth Initial Consultation at the start of the counselling relationship to better understand how SFH can help with their presenting concerns.
All clients will receive an audio relaxation download once they have completed the initial consultation.
Subsequent sessions will be conducted if I deem the therapy safe for the client to receive and if the client wishes to participate.
I will only work with clients who have actively chosen to receive therapy.
GP / Consultant approval may be required before sessions can be given.
Your commitment to the treatment:
By coming for hypnotherapy treatment, you agree to a commitment of weekly sessions at first, potentially reducing to fortnightly then monthly, after mutual agreement. Your commitment to these appointments is important and if you regularly fail to attend sessions or regularly cancel and rearrange them, I will discuss your commitment with you, to check if it’s the same, or has changed.
Your commitment extends to listening to the relaxation download regularly, to help with reducing anxiety and aiding good sleep patterns, as well as reinforcing positive thinking and action.
Clients must complete and sign a Consent Form after the Initial Consultation before continuing with the therapy sessions. By signing, clients are giving me permission to hold records and data about them. (See GDPR info).
GP / Consultant approval may be required before sessions can be given.
Sessions
How long do sessions last and how much are they?
Sessions are usually 55 minutes but may extend, on occasion, to just over an hour.
Sessions will always include relaxation, involving trance, unless in extraordinary circumstances, like a client requiring more time to talk through and process their week.
Sessions are £70 each or a package of 6, costing £380.
The Stop Smoking / Vaping session is a one-off session, lasting around two hours. It costs £200.
Young Clients:
Clients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the Initial Consultation (1 hour) and said adult will remain in the room for the duration of the Initial Consultation
The adult must give permission for the session(s) to proceed
The adult must co-sign the Consent Form alongside the young client
After the Initial Consultation, adults will be asked to remain close by, but not in the same room as the young client, during their sessions
What if I need to rearrange a session?
Provided you give me more than 48 hours’ notice, you will not be charged for a cancellation
If you give less than 48 hours’ notice, you will still be charged for the session.
If you purchase six sessions, but don’t use them all and want to stop your sessions, I will refund you the amount remaining, less an admin charge of £10.
If I need to rearrange a session, I will let you know at my earliest convenience
Inappropriate Behaviour:
I have the right to terminate a session immediately if the client demonstrates inappropriate behaviour
I have the right to cancel a session without prior notice if the client is intoxicated or inebriated.
Payments
Payments can be made via bank transfer.
Payments must be made in advance of each session. If no payment has been made, I reserve the right to cancel the session.
Complaints Procedure
If you wish to make a complaint, please email me on hello@claremarpleshypnotherapy.com
Complaints must include the date and location of the incident, the full name of the complainant, details of the complaint and a desired outcome following the complaint.
All complaints will be taken very seriously, and a response will be provided within 28 days of receipt
